Guild Rules

Standard of Conduct

We believe that your in-game persona reflects your real life values and we hold our members to a high standard of behavior. Members carry our guild name above their heads and our logo on their chest; bad behavior reflects back upon us all. Our members are our greatest resource; participate to make Midnight Fire a great place for all!

The following is an outline of our rules:

Visit this site at least once a week to keep up with guild news and events. Check the in-game calendar several times a week as well. If you want to get the best Midnight Fire experience you have to put in a little effort.

Follow ALL World of Warcraft rules as specified in the Terms of Use. If you are unfamiliar with the Terms of Use follow the link and read the rules.

We NEVER use the word NOOB. (A hard habit to break)

We do not discriminate based on age, race, gender, religion or sexual orientation.

Guild Chat - We do not discuss religion or politics in guild chat. We are a family friendly guild and do not tolerate any racist, sexual or other inappropriate comments in guild chat or during any guild events. We do not allow swearing EVEN if you use &%$# symbols. Inappropriate chat may result in your being kicked from the guild.

Treat each other with respect. We're a team! Act like it.

Play the game with honor, treat all players fairly and with respect.

Do not discuss Private Servers. Private Servers are created with stolen software and are illegal.

It is not permissible to ask for guild RUNS. It is ok to ask for help with a quest even if it's in a dungeon. It is ok to OFFER to run people as well. We just do not want ppl constantly asking for runs... we've tried it (twice) and it just doesn't work.

NO ASKING FOR GOLD OR FOR A LOAN. It is ok to ask someone with a particular skill to make or do something for you. They may do it for free or they may ask you to provide the materials. Show your gratitude when someone helps you and think about what you might do for them - perhaps give them some extra mats to help with their leveling or some item you make that they can use.

DO NOT take things from the guild bank for your own profit.

READ THE RULES - Ignorance is not an excuse.

Interpersonal Issues - If you have a problem with someone please discuss it in Whisper or mail with one of the officers. We will help you resolve it fairly and with a minimum of drama. Tempers can flare in the heat of battle and people make mistakes; lets give each other the benefit of the doubt.

These rules are subject to change. Officers rulings are final.

Disruptive Behavior – An excessive amount of complaining, non-constructive criticism, arguing within the guild, etc., will result in removal from the guild. This does not mean that members can never complain, criticize or argue. The keyword here is "excessive", meaning that it reaches the point where it affects guild cohesiveness. Any guild member that engages in excessively disruptive behavior may receive a cautionary warning first or may be booted from the guild.

Leadership Respect- Midnight Fire Leadership (Officers, and Raid Leaders) are to be respected. Do not disrespect them, for that is grounds for immediate dismissal from the guild. You are to listen to whatever they tell you to do without question. If you have a grievance, please contact Gorgonis or WhiteDryad and do NOT air it in guild chat.

Public Behavior - You represent the guild in all your actions online and on public forums. Do not act like a fool and bring shame upon the guild. Racist, sexual or other offensive chat, even in Trade Chat, will be taken seriously and may result in your expulsion from the guild. Ninja'ing in a raid or other run will almost certainly result in your being kicked from the guild. Scamming will result in your being kicked from the guild. Get it?
